Caring Collective announces two important organizational developments.

Effective November 1, 2025, Gulfcoast Legal Services joined our Glasser/Schoenbaum Campus of Caring in Building C-3. Changing lives through justice, GLS’s attorneys and advocates enhance access to the legal system, especially for those whose race, ethnicity, income, age, disability, gender, or sexual orientation pose obstacles. ‘We are thrilled to welcome GLS and their important services and advocacy to our Campus community,’ said Charlene Altenhain, Caring Collective’s CEO.

Nominations for the Fourth Annual Emerging Leader Awards have opened, with applications accepted through Friday, December 5, 2025. The Emerging Leader Program aims to develop the next generation of compassionate and competent leaders who through innovation and talent will shape Sarasota’s physical, behavioral, and environmental health; human services; and arts & culture communities in the coming years. The Sarasota/Manatee area has seen unprecedented growth in the last several years, with area human services and other needs also growing. Area visionaries and Emerging Leader Award sponsors Bill and Barbara Little care greatly about ensuring that the next generation of leaders have the skills, experience, mentoring, and preparation to succeed as area growth continues.

‘We offer this important program to help develop our region’s future leaders,’ said Charlene Altenhain. ‘Thank you to Bill and Barbara Little for their continued leadership and support which makes this important initiative possible,’ Altenhain added.

The fourth class of Emerging Leader awardees will receive recognition at Caring Collective’s Caring in Action Collaboration Celebration on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
