Nonprofits for Stronger Communities is at the heart of Caring Collective’s identity, and Christina Russi brings this value to life through her many responsibilities as our Community Fiscal Agent and Liaison, approaching each with purpose, passion, and excellence.

Visit Chris’ office on any given day and you will find her engaged in a problem-solving conversation or activity to help a neighbor in need. She serves as a fiscal agent to administer a program that provides emergency financial support to Sarasota County neighbors experiencing hardship; the numbers tell the impact story: between February 2025-January 2026, Chris’ leadership resulted in the disbursement of over $2.2 million in emergency assistance to 1,717 households in Sarasota County seeking assistance with rent, utilities, and other critical needs. Her other responsibilities include leadership for our Community Benefits Specialist Program, and serving as a liaison for 211, a program that connects people with locally available resources for a wide variety of critical services such as basic necessities, health care, and emergencies.

Through thoughtful stewardship of the grants entrusted to Caring Collective, we help ensure support reaches neighbors facing unexpected challenges while maximizing the impact of every dollar invested.”
